First Day- First Week

OK, we need to decide exactly what the first day and first week of school will be like for our Houses.
Topics such as:

• sorting process- member to assigned house- assembly or just a posted list?
• activities- for first day- do we all still agree "dog house"
• activities for the first week- suggestions?

Leadership role in the House

What does the leadership role involve and how long should each role be?

8th Grade

We would like to involve 8th grade and help them feel like they are already part of the high school. Suggestions?

House Names

What guidelines should we suggest to our students when creating "House" names?

Number of Houses

It was strongly suggested that we keep the number of houses to 8 or 10. John, can you please post your thoughts on this.

What selection mechanics will we use?

How do we propose selecting the members for each house? What are your thoughts?

Post Goals

It is our goal to have our "Houses" up and running by the first day of school. Each post will have about one week or so before it is put to rest. I will be posting different issues and questions concerning the "Houses" all this week.
